1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") governs your use of the Recensio service (the "Service") and forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service. If you breach this Policy, we may suspend or terminate your access as described in the Terms of Service.
2. General principle
You may use the Service only for lawful, legitimate business purposes: managing and responding to reviews of businesses that you own or are authorised to represent. You must not use the Service in any way that is unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or that infringes the rights of others or the terms of the platforms we integrate with.
3. Authorisation and ownership
You must only connect and manage Google Business Profiles that you own or that you are expressly authorised to manage on behalf of their owner. You must hold all rights and permissions necessary for Recensio to retrieve reviews and to draft and publish replies on your behalf. You must not use the Service to access, manage or respond to reviews of a business without that authorisation.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Service to create, publish, or transmit any content or to engage in any conduct that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory;
- is deceptive or misleading, including impersonating another person or business, or publishing replies that misrepresent who is responding;
- is obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate in the context of a public review reply;
- infringes any intellectual property right, trade secret, privacy right, or other right of a third party;
- discloses the personal data of a third party unlawfully, or reveals sensitive information about a reviewer;
- contains malware, or is designed to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt any system, network, or data;
- constitutes spam, or bulk, repetitive, or manipulative posting; or
- is intended to manipulate ratings or reviews, to post fake or incentivised reviews, or otherwise to deceive consumers or distort a business's online reputation.
5. Platform and API compliance
The Service integrates with Google. You must comply with Google's terms and policies, including the Google Business Profile and Google Maps user-contributed content policies, when using the Service. You must not use the Service in any way that would cause Recensio to breach the Google API Services User Data Policy or any other applicable platform terms.
6. No interference with the Service
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems or networks;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, usage limits, or other technical restrictions we apply;
- use any automated means to access the Service other than as expressly permitted, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or
- resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to third parties except as permitted by your plan.
7. Responsibility for content
Replies drafted by the Service are generated to assist you. You remain responsible for the content published under your account, whether approved manually or automatically under settings you have enabled. You should review the automation level you choose and ensure that content published in your name complies with this Policy and with applicable law.
8. Reporting and enforcement
If you become aware of any use of the Service that breaches this Policy, please contact us at support@recensio.ai. We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove content, restrict functionality, or suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe this Policy has been breached, or where required to protect the Service, other users, or third parties, or to comply with law.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date, and the version published on recensio.ai is the version in force.
